Institutional Sales Professional


Position Summary

The primary objective of this position is to work closely with senior sales staff in developing opportunities within Hedge Funds, Mutual Funds, Separate Accounts, Pension Plans, Nonprofits, Foundations and Endowments. With senior sales staff, help develop sales opportunities through direct and indirect contact with the portfolio managers, Chief Investment Officers, consultants, analysts, and traders who either work for or closely with these firms. The sales management objective is to assist senior sales staff to position the distribution of ProFund's products into institutional strategies and portfolios.



Primary Responsibilities

  1. Contributes to the efforts to identify large Hedge Fund, Mutual Fund, and Separate Account investment managers, as well as Foundation and Endowment portfolios.
  2. Under supervision, develops plans and tactics to successfully penetrate targeted market segments.
  3. Contributes to the efforts of ProFund's businesses and product lines and throughout all stages of the firm's sales planning, budgeting, strategic and tactical development, integration, and product launch and implementation.
  4. Participates in efforts to evaluate, develop and implement marketing sales campaigns and promotional activities designed to increase brand recognition and to support sales strategies, while facilitating the distribution of all ProFund's products.
  5. Position ProFund's products to be used in and with various investment management strategies, including portfolio construction, liquidity creation and hedging.
  6. Closely monitor all market trend and analyze and take action on opportunities, threats, and potential forces impacting the business including competitive landscape, pricing and investor appetite.
  7. Identify, evaluate, recommend, and prioritize product, new product development opportunities and service enhancement initiatives.
  8. Represent ProFunds by actively participating in industry and client conferences, seminars, and trade shows.



Education and Experience

  1. BA/BS degree. Undergraduate or graduate degree, preferably in business.
  2. Five or more years' experience in a business development / sales capacity within the financial services and investment management arenas.
  3. Experience in financial services' product management.
  4. Knowledge of exchange traded funds strongly preferred.
  5. CIMA, CFP, or CFA preferred
  6. Minimum FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses.
